Gaana Bhat is a Mangalorean but spent her childhood days in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and moved back to Mangalore during her teens. Completing her Pre-university from St. Aloysius College and Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology.  She started out her career as an engineer with Infosys, Mysore. Eventually, moving to the US on a work assignment with Apple and is currently the Associate Manager in Yahoo, Bangalore.

Being passionate about all the verticals in the media field, she started to explore the world of modeling in Mysore back in 2011. Apart from the world of IT, she never stopped looking out for opportunities in the world of media even while being was away from India. During her stint at the USA, she had a whole lot of opportunities for ramp walk shows, photoshoots for designers and was published in a few local fashion magazines of California namely “Surreal Beauty”,  “7 Hues”, “Sheeba” and on the cover page of the fashion magazine “IMirage”.

She also owns a YouTube dance channel “Desi Twist”, which now has a subscriber count of close to 57,000 with a dance view count for a viral video at 8.6 Million views. She has extended her portfolio into lifestyle and beauty vlogging through her personal YouTube channel "Gaana Bhat"

Coming to the most exciting part for Gaana, she started out with her journey in the short-film industry with the telefilm called “Taxi 24/7” directed by Nagaraj Bhat in 2015 and went on to do multiple commercials, short, independent films and web series in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi,  Malayalam, and English. A few of them are Sketchu, Silent Date, Vasantha Sameeram,  a couple of Tamil music covers - Maruvarthai Pesade, Un Kaadhal Enne Thottu Selluthe, The Purple Nights, a cameo in Natural star Nani’s Telugu super hit film called Ninnu Kori. To add to this list is her latest release which is a Telugu web series for SonyLiv originals called Mymarapu which will soon also be available in the US on YuppTv and her recent Kannada debut in "Babru", which is the first Kannada feature film to be completely shot across the USA.
